Zombie BGP Session

Currently bgp.tools is running low on resources to serve all BGP Sessions, and cannot currently acquire new hardware to meet demand.

To ensure a helpful service runs for everyone, some current and newly made BGP sessions will become “zombies”.

A zombie session will Establish and stay online, but the site not hold any data from them to save resources. You can idenitify sessions that have turned into zombie sessions by going to your configured BGP sessions and looking for sessions with this status symbol:

Paying customers of the site will never have their sessions turned into zombie sessions.

We hope to get more paying customers in order to serve all the sessions we have! But for now we have to scale back capacity to ensure a fast and functional site for everyone.

We still encourage the creation of new sessions, as when capacity arrives these sessions will be switched back to non zombie sessions.
