Getting Started with Grafana

Getting started with the prometheus scrape endpoint can be sometimes be a little intimidating, so bgp.tools has provided a basic example dashboard for you to build from:

To import this dashboard go to the go to this link here and download it as a file.

Then go to the sidebar on your grafana instance and select import:

Once you have done that you can use the Upload JSON file button to upload the file itself rather than having to copy and paste the contents of the json file you just downloaded.

After that a few questions will be asked around your Prometheus data source and once you import it should be good to go including with a drop down to switch between multiple ASNs via grafana variables.

Do note that the prometheus scrape endpoint cannot itself be used as your data source in grafana. If you do not already have a running Prometheus instance. You will need to set one up to use this dashboard and feature.
